Position Summary:

Come join our friendly team at Alumni Relations! We are looking for a UAF student interested in marketing and graphic design. The student will be utilizing Google, Adobe and other production tools for a variety of word processing and editing tasks. Perform a variety of administrative duties–especially helping with creating digital and print media. This student will also provide general administrative support and assist with alumni and annual giving events and initiatives. Summer employment may be available as well. This position is open to service-focused students available to work up to 20 hours. The ideal candidate will be available mid-morning and/or late afternoon Monday through Friday.


100The Student Marketing Assistant focuses on social media, event planning, communication tools and promotional needs for the Alumni Office. You’ll gain applicable life skills helping to promote alumni and annual giving events and projects while honing your skills in social media and graphic design. Some experience with Adobe Creative Suite, including In-Design, Illustrator, and Photoshop on a Mac or PC platform and proficiency with Microsoft Office. HTML experience is a plus. Good communications skills for composing emails and working with colleagues and clients.Essential

Typically requires previous training and experience (e.g., one year). Some college or comparable experience may be necessary. Students majoring in marketing or graphic design are highly encouraged to apply and get hands-on experience.


Applicants must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.

Wages for this position can pay up to $15/hr. Compensation is commensurate with experience and the type of work assigned.

Review Date:
