10 Work closely with equipment vendors to ensure efficient operation of equipment to include service calls and preventative maintenance scheduling. Maintain service call and maintenance logs for equipment. Responsible for coordination and assistance in maintaining consumables inventory, physical inventory processes and purchasing of needed supplies. Ensure facility is clean and organized and that safety precautions are being followed. Assist with campus fleet copier program as needed to include support for departmental customers within scope of contract and working with vendor for deliveries/pick ups on campus. 15 Bulk mail operations to include consulting with customers on basic mailability and processing categories and advising customers in designing mail pieces for automation and non-profit eligibility. Edit large address data files and conduct mail merges. Use NCOAA-certified software to ensure addresses meet eligibility. Operate equipment to efficiently prepare mailings. Manual preparation of mailings as required to include hand sorting, inserting, and bundling. Work with Customer Service Representative, other Copy & Print team members, and customers, as needed to calculate estimates and timelines and to coordinate special projects. Assist with customer service counter duties as needed to include answering phones, responding to customer inquiries and processing customer payments. Essential
75 Operate production level digital printer/copier equipment, including wide format printers, producing high volume of work. Operation of a variety of finishing equipment including cutters, drills, lamination and bindery. Ensure all work produced is in accordance with the job ticket and customer''s quality expectations, including that deadlines are met and turnaround times are appropriate. Review and pre-flight files in preparation for printing to include imposition, setting up tabs, pdf conversion, and scanning. Responsible for the reproduction of multiple orders requiring the ability to multi-task between numerous productions and finishing projects on a continuous basis as well as re-prioritize as needed to insure deadlines are met. Properly use and care for all equipment in compliance with operating instructions. Comply with applicable policies and procedures including copyright law. Provide knowledge, direction, and other input as needed to customers and teammates. Essential
Knowledge of the copy and print industry to include technical knowledge of digital photocopying technologies (color and black & white) and bindery. General knowledge of pre-press and offset printing preferred. Strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office Suite. Detail oriented with strong quality and productivity. Highly motivated with a positive attitude and ability to work well in a team environment. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, as well as interpret manuals and policy documents. Six months minimum experience in a printing or copy related organization, operating and maintaining equipment. Experience related to standard/bulk mail preparation preferred but not required.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Alaska Driver's License (must meet and maintain UAA safe driver verification criteria). Must acquire Mail Design Professional (MDP) certification within six months of hire.

This is a full-time, Grade 75, ($17.16/hr) DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
