Position Summary:

This position will serve as support for various units within the College of Engineering with specific tasks assigned from Dean’s Office staff members.

Duties:

100This position will serve as support for various units within the College of Engineering with specific tasks assigned from Dean’s Office staff members which may include but is not limited to: assist with the weekly CoEng Professional Development Seminar Series, provide administrative/clerical support for Student Services and Advising & Summer Engineering Academies, assist with weekly donor thank you letters, document management, answering phone calls and questions, provide customer service to students and employees, assisting with setup and takedown for CoEng events, and other duties as assigned.  Position is per semester and may be eligible for renewal each semester and through the summer.  Position is up to 20 hours per week.  Schedule is flexible during normal office hours Mon-Thurs but must be able to work between 11:00am - 1:00pm on Fridays during the semester.Essential

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Must have good oral and written communication.
Must be organized and demonstrate attention to details.
Must be able to work independently on assigned tasks while also working as part of a team.
Must be able to meet deadlines.
Must be dependable.
Must have good customer service skills.

TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:

Preference for experience working in an office environment or customer service.

REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:

High School diploma or equivalent.
Must be enrolled at UAA at a minimum of 6 credits for Fall and/or Spring semester and hold a GPA of 2.0 or higher.
