The UAF Development and Alumni Relations team seeks a student employee to assist the office in a variety of donor and alumni-related tasks. The student will work up to 20 hours per week during the 2021/2022 academic year, including the summer-if available. The successful candidate must be professional and friendly, have a strong work ethic and be flexible in task assignments. The successful candidate must be self-motivated and be able to accomplish many assignments effectively with minimal supervision.
Good communication and critical thinking skills. Teamwork: Build and maintain collaborative relationships to work effectively toward common goals, while appreciating diverse viewpoints and shared responsibilities. Ability to exercise sound judgment and professionalism. Positions may require knowledge and skills of computers and experience in providing customer service. Social media and/or graphic design experience is a plus.
Typically requires previous training and experience (e.g., one year). Some college or comparable experience may be necessary.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Applicants must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
UA Board of Regents’ Policy P09.05.020 states that in order to be eligible for student employment, graduate and undergraduate students must be enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment or have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours, and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters.

This is a Student Assistant C; the position will pay $10.50 per hour.
