Nanook Recreation and the Student Recreation Center is looking for dependable temporary employees to join our staff. Knowledge of UAF, Nanook Recreation and the SRC is helpful, but not necessary. Nanook Recreation has a variety of positions throughout the year that are needed to support our programs. They include assisting with Outdoor Adventures, and fitness instructors.
Nanook Recreation is looking for temporary employees to join our team! We have a variety of specific teams to apply to, but if you are not sure where you would be a good fit, try applying for this general position so we can potentially work with you to find a good fit.
Specific Nanook Recreation teams include: Member Services, Learn to Skate Instructors, Climbing Wall Staff, Outdoor Adventures Trip Leaders and/or Rental Center Staff, Lifeguards, Ice Rink Supervisors, Facility Support Crew, Fitness Instructors, etc.
These positions are located on campus in the Student Recreation Center, the Patty Ice Rink, the Outdoor Adventures Rental Center, the indoor/outdoor Climbing Walls, and/or the Patty Pool. Work in a fun place and on a fun team!
Options: There is the potential for extra flexibility if you are a high achiever, we can provide training and additional earning opportunities in areas of interest such as in the climbing wall, group fitness instruction, intramural refereeing, personal training, administrative operations, etc.
All work is done under the supervision and with the support of Nanook Recreation professional staff.
As this is a position with multiple spots to fill, there will likely be multiple review dates throughout the academic year. We will review applications when there is an operational need to do so.
