Dr. Go Iwahana with The International Arctic Research Center (IARC) is seeking applicants to fill a Student Assistant C position. IARC’s mission is to foster Arctic research to help the nation and the world understand, prepare for, and adapt to the pan-Arctic impacts of climate change. The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work on frozen soil analyses in the IARC lab, data processing of remote sensing images using ArcGIS Pro and other image analysis software, and may provide field assistance at the Poker Flat Research Range. This position will work 10 to 20 hours a week. Applicants with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, ArcGIS, Microsoft Excel, and/or programming languages are encouraged to apply.

Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Applicant should be enrolled as a UA student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.
