Signers' Business Office is looking for a dynamic and experienced individual to fill the position of Senior Fiscal Manager. This position will successfully supervise a team of fiscal professionals maintaining employee engagement, workload capacity, and customer service. As the Senior Fiscal Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all fund management to include all types of unrestricted funds, restricted funds, procurement, receivables, and ProCard management for over 40 diverse units. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and be team oriented while also successful at working independently. 20 Training and Troubleshooting:
Train fiscal technicians and professionals staff. Provide front-line and in-depth training to support staff and customers.
Act as the divisions resource in the area of fiscal management, payroll, personnel, hiring, procurement, travel, proposal preparation, and grant management.
Keep the SBO executive officer appraised of fiscal impacts to units and the division. Provide constructive and candid feedback and offer suggestions to assist in a solution to the issue. Essential
30 Office Management:
Provide management, oversight and assistance to Signers Business Office fiscal staff, which includes pro-card reconciliation, unit management reports, soft-ledger updates, fund management, grant and contracts and proposal budget reviews.
Review and verify all continuation budget and management reports prior to submissions.
Work with executive officer short and long range strategic planning for the division.
Provide counsel to the Provost, Vice Chancellors or Chancellor when necessary to support sound business decisions that are data driven from the SBO office. Essential
50 Financial Management:
Manage all unrestricted funding sources, program income, or foundation accounts as the first or second line finance manager for all units reporting to the Signers Business Office (SBO). This includes:
* Management reports
* Cash Management (deposits/credit cards)
* Budget Revisions
* Labor Redistributions
* Soft Ledgers
* Journal Vouchers
Responsible for providing SBO units with funding analysis, monthly management reports and working with units to ensure unrestricted fund balances are within the allowable range.
Provide analysis and interpretation of information that is gathered/received for cost projections, budget setup, compliance reporting/review. Ensure full compliance with university regulations/policies and any internal or external regulation requirements. Essential

Knowledge and ability to work with multiple funding sources (e.g. federal, state, and private). Ability to manage multiple diverse fiscal activities, programs and functional units (20+ individual units).
Ability to work with SBO executive officer at a high-level to communicate with stakeholders, funding agencies, multiple departments across campus. Ability to supervise, plan, problem solve, and make decisions that provide the most efficient and tactical path forward. Ability to plan, coordinate and direct work of subordinates.
A minimum of 4 years professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Experience with fund accounting computer systems, diversity of rules and regulations (e.g. federal, state, and university regulations, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and Governmental Accounting Standards Board (GASB), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field and 4 years professional fiscal experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Professional licensure preferred (e.g. CPA, CFM).
This is a full-time,
Grade 81, $2469.60 biweekly, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
