Duties:
10 Administrative and technical support:
Provide technical support for and/or co-host virtual meetings.
Other administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor Essential
25 Co-production of knowledge towards project goals:
Provide input at monthly project meetings and annual board meetings.
Contribute to and review educational resources for STEM and cultural content inclusion and relevance.
Collect and organize evaluation and research data
Co-present at meetings, conferences regarding project activities and research findings. Essential
65 Facilitate networking and relationship building:
Investigate targeted communities and map potential collaborators (individuals, organizations, local businesses, etc.)
Initiate communication with rural community members for project development.
Travel with the project team into rural communities to engage with residents. Essential
This position will be responsible for working on projects that increase interest in STEM learning and local STEM jobs for rural Alaska Native students. Facilitate community engagement in the development of learning resources and experiences that draw on the collective wisdom of generations and the need to maintain traditional living in a rapidly changing environment.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Multicultural experience Strong organizational skills Interpersonal and relationship-building skills Ability to use spreadsheets and databases to collect and organize information
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
One year of technical experience Preferred: Experience with confidential data management, data entry, and interviewing. At least 6 months relative experience and/or academic training in research.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Associate's degree in a relevant field and one year experience in a field relevant to the research or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
This is a temporary part-time, Grade 77 , Starting Pay is $20.47/hr DOE, 5-20 hours a week with no benefits.
