The Program Aide will Co-manage 4-H after school clubs and serve as the contact person for its participants. In this position you will guide and support 4-H members with club and project work
Organize the 4-H after school clubs by coordinating leaders, members and their families to determine a plan of the club's activities and to determine resources needed to carry out the plan.
30 Oversee district database for 4-H enrollment. Track impact of programs through evaluations. Complete annual reports and submit in a timely fashion. Participate in statewide 4-H staff audios and meetings.
Statewide: Maintain the 4-H online database. Help 4-H staff with issues as they arise with the software. Be the national contact with the administers/owners of the database and communicate state needs. Build and run reports as needed/requested to help with reporting and evaluation requirements. 30 Provide leadership to volunteers and youth in planning, organizing, implementing and evaluating Bethel 4-H. Utilizing a variety of delivery modes (ie: clubs, after-school 4-H, in-school 4-H, special projects, events, workshops and related activities.
The position works independently and runs programs for the area without very little or any guidance from the program leader. The incumbent needs to work independently and make decisions without consultation.
Statewide: Develop content and design the templates and web page formats for 4-H staff to use for informal online education: 4-H Special Interest (SPIN) projects. Essential
40 Promote 4-H to the Bethel district. Maintain web presence of the Bethel 4-H program.
Maintain calendar of events for the Bethel district.
Develop timely, brochures, fliers, email/web based notices as needed. Establish and maintain open communication with media and report on upcoming and past programs.

Show high standards of professionalism in personal contacts, appearance, and work habits.
Exhibit qualities of independent judgement while working independently with minimal supervision. Ability to work as a team member in a dynamic, complex environment and organize time and workload effectively. Computer skills including online presence updates, web search, word documents, letter/reports writing, database management, calendars, email. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with all levels of staff, the public and program participants while maintaining objectivity. Complete 4-H leader training. Some degree of physical activity is required to conduct programs (e.g. setting up and cleaning up from programs, handling animals, carrying materials and equipment). Knowledge of basic phone skills and etiquette. Skilled at providing excellent customer service. Ability to operate and troubleshoot basic office equipment. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to maintain composure when dealing with irate individuals. Current First Aid and CPR Certifications. Must be able to work evenings, weekends and flexible hours. Computer skills including online presence updates, web search, word documents, letter/reports writing, database management, calendars, email. Serve as a positive role model for members and colleagues. Enjoy working with people of all ages. Ability to communicate with youth and adults. Patience, to work in a very busy environment. CPR/First Aid certified Experience working with children grades K-12 Ability to do a variety of activities like crafts, sewing, cooking, recreation, games, computer and art projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION OR TRAINING:
Associate's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience. May require licensure and/or certification.
Valid Driver’s License.
This is a full-time,
Grade 77, minimum $30.10 hourly, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
