The Research Technician pool is the Institute of Social and Economic Research's (ISER) and the Center for Behavioral Health Research and Sciences' (CBHRS) recruitment pool for technical research assistance. The Research Technician pool seeks to attract applicants with technical research skills to assist in projects, ranging from economic analyses to survey administration to research programming.

Position: ISER Temporary Research Technical Pool
The Institute of Social and Economic Research (ISER) at the University of Alaska Anchorage has a multidisciplinary staff that studies a wide range of topics. Quantitative skills may include data entry and cleaning, data management, simple quantitative analysis, and creating charts and tables for for reports. Qualitative skills may include survey administration, conducting interviews, coding using established procedures, and drafting summary results for reports.
Although most work will not require travel, some projects may.
Knowledge of qualitative and /or quantitative research methods appropriate to project.
Good written and oral communication skills. Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software.
6 months research experience relevant to project. Student research experience may count.
Typical Education or Training:
College coursework in field relevant to the project.
Associate's degree in relevant field preferred.
