The UA Foundation operates a consolidated student calling program that raises funds and support for all three UA Campuses, UAA, UAF, and UAS. This position requires strong verbal and written communication skills, a problem-solving mentality, the ability to think strategically in a fast-paced environment, and a genuine affinity for the University of Alaska. Working with the Engagement Center team is an excellent opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in communication, fundraising, and public relations. The calling program offers opportunities for students to work remotely during the 2020-2021 academic school year.

This is a part-time position up to 20 hours per week while school is in session, additional hours may be available during summer/winter breaks. During the 2020-2021 academic year, Engagement Ambassadors will work remotely (off campus) and may work from their own home - meeting some minimal requirements.
This is a pooled position that may be employed at the Anchorage, Fairbanks, or Juneau University of Alaska campuses, depending upon need. Applications will be reviewed on an as-needed basis during the year. Successful submission of an application does not guarantee employment. To be eligible for student employment, an applicant must:
A) Be enrolled in the University of Alaska system with a minimum of six credit hours in the current semester of employment; or
B) Have been enrolled the preceding semester for six or more credit hours and demonstrate plans to enroll for six or more credit hours in the next semester for employment between semesters; and
C) Have at least a 2.0 cumulative grade point average (GPA) or approval from the UAA or UAF Senior Student Services officer.
D) An applicant must provide evidence of enrollment as outlined above to substantiate employment eligibility.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to operate office equipment (scanners, printers, copiers etc.). Basic knowledge of computers and work productivity software (MS Word, Excel, e-mail, etc.). Good written/verbal communication skills.
Prior work in an office setting preferred.
Required Education or Training:
Must be a currently enrolled University of Alaska student at any campus. Preferred student who has completed some coursework in either accounting, bookkeeping, human resources or a business studies program.
