Position Summary:

Are you looking for student employment in a professional environment? If so, please apply here!  You will be working with the Vice Provost and the Accreditation and Assessment Coordinator on activities that benefit the whole campus. Work will be both collaborative and independent. Applicants should be ready to learn on the job, and preferred applicants will have experience with office-based software. An ideal candidate would also possess excellent organizational skills, computer skills and a desire to learn about UAF academics and the community.    This position will start at $10.50/hour and offer 10 hours per week during the academic year, with the potential for more hours in the summer.

Duties:

100Work successfully within a team environment to support activities relevant to UAF’s accreditation and the assessment of academic programs. Under supervision, provide support for the Accreditation and Assessment office, which may include but is not limited to copying, filing, materials preparation, editing, reviewing website content, and communicating with other administrative offices by email and phone. Under the direction of the Accreditation and Assessment Coordinator, assist with campus-wide communication and outreach. Assist in planning events for the accreditation site visit, scheduling meetings, and other related projects as assigned.Essential

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

Must be a degree-seeking student at UAF.
Must have attention to detail, possess organizational skills, and be able to articulate and communicate effectively.
Must understand and be able to appropriately handle confidential information.
Preferred ability to work independently.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

Must have prior experience with office-based software.
Applicant should be enrolled as a student in a minimum of 6 credits with a minimum GPA of 2.0, or a newly enrolled student.
Able to work within diverse settings and groups of people in an effective manner.
