Position Summary:

The position is the primary point of contact for all Copy & Print Center customers, responsible for providing estimates, intake of jobs, coordination and follow up on all projects, processing payments from customers, and managing/updating the department’s work management software program. Assists in print production as needed.

Duties:

10Manage departmental print program software to include regular reviews, generation of reports, updating pricing and descriptions, and basic troubleshooting. Provide input to the director and fiscal officer related to pricing structure and revenue/expenditure projections through appropriate analysis methods. Assist in providing information related to the development and monitoring of the annual budget for this area. Monitor processes and procedures to ensure the most cost effective use of resources and increase throughput. Actively seek out and encourage reasonable process improvements on a continuous basis. Maintain knowledge of technological advances in the industry and make recommendations, assist in analysis for acquisition of new or replacement equipment.Essential
15Assist customers with quick copy, scanning, and faxing projects. As needed, assist with production operations (bindery, bulk mailing, etc).Essential
75Assist customers with questions about orders, turnaround times, and pricing, providing estimates and making recommendations to ensure the highest quality work with the medium provided. Advise customers regarding copyright laws and procedures. Perform initial review of digital files for production. Closeout completed jobs, process payments for cash customers. Review output products to ensure quality standards are maintained. Distribute job tickets to production team appropriately based on job requirements. Coordinate closely with the Copy and Print Center Lead when establishing priorities and output schedules for all projects.Essential

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  Strong computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and basic desktop publishing software. Strong customer service skills. Cash handling and reconciliation skills. Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to work effectively individually and as part of a team. 

Required Experience and Education/Training: One year minimum related experience (must involve customer service).  High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Alaska driver's license (must meet and maintain UAA safe driver verification criteria).

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

TYPICAL EDUCATION OR TRAINING:

High school diploma or equivalent. Valid Alaska driver's license (must meet and maintain UAA safe driver verification criteria).

This is a full-time, Grade 75, ($16.99/hr) DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.
