Kenai Peninsula College (KPC) is recruiting for a Student Facilities Maintenance position.
Position Details: In order to be eligible for this Student Assistant C level position, you Must Be Currently Enrolled at KPC taking a minimum of 6 credits and have an cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Compensation: 10.50 per hour.
Ability to follow instructions both written and verbal in the English language and have the ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to complete required forms, paper work, time sheets and other documents in a legible manner. Must report to work on a timely and regular basis. Must be a current University of Alaska student and be in good standing.
Must have a valid Alaska Driver's License, with the ability to meet University of Alaska safe driving criteria.
Previous work history in construction and maintenance projects.

Assist the Facilities Maintenance staff in daily operation and maintenance of the facilities at Kenai Peninsula College.Tasks will include cleaning of buildings including restrooms; removal of trash and other debris from the buildings and grounds; carpet cleaning; snow removal with shovels and other snow removal equipment; landscape maintenance including mowing, weeding, and watering; wall repair and painting both indoors and out; moving furniture and other items on campus; assistance to facilities maintenance as directed. Work may require strenuous physical activity.

NOTICE: Students must maintain enrollment and regular attendance for a minimum of at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 6 graduate credit hours to be exempt from FICA (Social Security and Medicare) tax. A credit hour load below the minimum required for full-time student status will require the withholding of FICA tax (non-resident aliens on an appropriate visa who meet student employment criteria will continue to be exempt from FICA regardless of credit hour load). While in a student position, a student cannot hold any other type of simultaneous employment with the University.
