Students accepted into the BUILD EXITO program will work in research placements as a core part of their program experience, gaining experience about the theories and methods of scientific exploration in their health-related fields. Placements may be with faculty in health-related natural or social sciences or health professions.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Required Experience and Education:
- Admission to the BUILD EXITO program
- Completion of URS A121 Introduction to Inquiry with a grade of C or better
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5
- Full-time enrollment of 6 or more credits in each fall and spring semester of the current academic year
