Position Summary:

eCampus is accepting applications for a Testing Assistant that supports our day to day activities in our Exam Center. Applicants must have at least two years of office/administrative/testing experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.


10Administers and supervises weekend testing events; network and form partnerships with off-site companies to provide educational contract services to the community and state; hire and conduct training session for 2-15 temporary testing personnel for national testing.Essential
10Prepare invoices and billing for communication with testing vendors. Receive, record, and crosscheck payments and prepare weekly deposits. Work with the eCampus fiscal officer as necessary to reconcile test fee payments, deposits and accounts.Essential
10Regularly collect and chronicle test data for records and special reports. Working with the Testing Manager, prepare an annual report summarizing the number of tests administered by vendor and type. Assist with the maintenance of various Administrators's Handbooks for all exams administered and perform updates on policies and procedures related to all tests administered.Essential
70Assist in proctoring and administration of the more than 60 different exams offered through Testing Services and over 6,000 exams offered annually through eCampus. Administer computer-based and paper/pencil exams including checking-in candidates, collecting fees, verifying registration information, checking identification for each specific test, completing necessary paperwork for each test, preparing and disbursing supplementary paperwork, preparing necessary supplies and equipment, trouble-shooting computer-based tests via the corporate help desks. Some national tests are offered evenings and weekends so a flexible work schedule may be required within or above a 40 hour work-week. Assist the Testing Manger in the management of local and national exams to include material receipt and storage, room scheduling, arranging weekend tests, observing the testing process and scoring exams (if required); prepare test material for return shipment. Maintain confidentiality of test materials and examinees. Prepare rooms, computers, and related equipment for testing sessions (recorders, head phones, fingerprinting and video devices and timers). Provide accurate information to faculty, students, staff, and the public via email, over the phone, and in person about policies and procedures related to UAF Testing Exam Services as well as high stakes testing companies. Schedule testing candidates via telephone and in -person utilizing various software programs. Work with UAF's rural campuses and satellite testing centers to coordinate testing needs and provide support. Set up testing with non-affiliated institutions for private proctoring and testing. Serves as administrator of record with test vendor companies, maintaining communication with vendors to ensure UAF compliance. Manage all aspects of Testing Services in the absence of the Testing Coordinator.Essential

About this position:

This is a part-time, Grade 76, minimum $19.15/hr, DOE, 12-month position complete with a competitive salary and UA employee benefits package.


Ability to multi-task using various software programs simultaneously. Demonstrates organizational skills including the ability to initiate and complete assigned tasks with accuracy, proficiency, and independence. Excellent oral and written communication. Exam proctoring.

Required Experience:

Two years of office/administrative experience or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

High School Graduate
