The University of Alaska Fairbanks invites applications for a term instructor, non-tenure track position in Sports Management to begin Spring 2020. Candidates are required to possess an earned Master’s degree in Sports Management, or a closely related field, from an AACSB accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Sports Management is preferred. The School of Management is accredited by the AACSB. 25 25% Engage in university, professional, and/or community service; participate in student recruiting and other events related to the School of Management; may serve as an advisor to a student organization. Essential
75 75% Teach six courses at the undergraduate and graduate level during the academic year; create new course curriculum for in-person and online courses; incorporate experiential learning into the curriculum; prepare syllabi consistent with UAF guidelines; hold regular office hours; and participate in assurance of learning. Candidates are required to possess an earned Master’s degree in Sports Management, or a closely related field, from an AACSB accredited institution. A Ph.D. in Sports Management is preferred. Candidates must have experience teaching in Sports Management. Candidates with industry experience in Sports Management are preferred.
Primary duties are to teach six courses per year at the undergraduate/graduate level. Outstanding teaching and excellent communication skills are required.
