Program Support Specialist Sitka
PROGRAM SUPPORT SPECIALIST, University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus. Provide support and direction for specific grant activities, projects, and events. Research and plan training opportunities, coordinate sustainability efforts, and oversee aspects of the integrated student success model. Provide support for various grant requirements: meeting agendas, documents, notes, purchases, budgets, travel, evaluation, reporting, and annual reports. Requires: Associate degree and two years experience, or equivalent combination; knowledge of methods of organization, research and analysis; working knowledge of computer information systems and applicable software and databases, including use of MS office tools. Prefer experience in project management, higher education, student services and federal grants. 12-month, full-time benefited position funded by a five-year (10/1/2015 - 9/30/2020) federal grant awarded to Alaska Native-Serving Institutions of Higher Education. Event Technician - Student Assistant B Juneau
The Student Activities Office at the University of Alaska Southeast will be hiring two students to serve as event technicians. If you like working behind the scenes, helping to make events like concerts, performances, dances, and film screenings a success, then this position may be for you. The successful applicants will set-up and tear-down Student Activities events including seating, tables, staging, and decor at a variety of campus venues. This position will assist the Student Activities Board Audio Visual Techincal Specialist in sound and lighting set-up for events when needed. Successful applicants may also occasionally lead student volunteers in assisting with set-up and tear-down of large events. Hours will be variable due to event schedules. This position is ideal for a student looking to work up to 5 hours per week with a flexible schedule.
