Serve as a reading and/or mathematics tutor for children who are preschool age or are in elementary school (grade K-7) or perform
family literacy activities in a family literacy project that provides services to families with preschool age children or elementary school children. This type of employment allows students to help children
develop reading or mathematics skills necessary for their education and future employment. The student will work with a high degree of
independence after initial instructions. Must use discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding school matters, and posses the ability to master a variety of complex issues as well as working with a
variety of personalities.
Applicants must have transportation, as position is located off campus in the community.
The recruitment coordinator supports all aspects of recruitment activities throughout the year. This includes primary supervision of our Student Ambassador program, daily campus tour scheduling; signature event planning, coordination, and implementation; travel (TEMS), and other miscellaneous duties that support the daily functions of the recruitment staff.

The UAA Theatre program offers a well rounded liberal arts approach in its curriculum, with courses covering all the basic areas of theatrical endeavor, including acting, directing, stagecraft, scene design, lighting, costuming, makeup, dramatic literature, theatre history, dramatic theory and criticism, and playwriting. Production is at the very center of our award winning theatre program. UAS Student Ambassador
Our Student Ambassadors will work with the Admissions Counselors and the Student Resource Center to serve as a liaison between the University of Alaska Southeast and prospective students. Primary duties include leading campus tours, assisting with administrative office duties, student outreach, initial point of contact for the Student Resource Center, appointment scheduling and helping with various campus and community events.
