Term Assistant Professor of Aviation Technology Anchorage
The University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Community and Technical College (CTC) is a major center for development and delivery of career, technical, community, workforce and continuing education programs. The UAA Aviation Technology Division (ATD), within the CTC, represents the latest in aviation education technologies in a large facility with state-of-the-art classrooms and labs. The mission of the ATD is to enhance, promote, and provide quality aviation education, research and service worldwide. The ATD offers a Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in Aviation Administration or Professional Piloting as well as Associate degrees in Aviation Maintenance, Air Traffic Control, Aviation Administration, and Professional Piloting. Additionally, two Undergraduate Certificates are offered in Aviation Maintenance Technology (AMT) program and the division offers a Minor in Aviation Technology. The ATD is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill a full time, tenure-track faculty position. The workload for this position is bipartite to include teaching and service.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively and independently at times with a variety of responsibilities depending on current need. Assistant/Associate Professor (Global Change Modeler/Ecosystem Ecologist, JOB18-29) Fairbanks
The Department of Biology & Wildlife and the Institute of Arctic Biology at the University of Alaska Fairbanks seek applicants for a 6-month (2/3 time for 9 months) tenure-track faculty position in global change biology and modeling and ecosystem ecology at the Assistant/Associate Professor level. The successful candidate may raise up to 6 months of additional salary through extramural funds. TFS Fiscal and Logistics Assistant (JOB18-25) Fairbanks
Toolik Field Station is a remote scientific reach station located 360 road miles north of Fairbanks on the rural Dalton Highway. The population of the station can vary from 3 to 150 residents at a time (over 400 different individuals annually) coming from all over the world. This position supports the residents and staff at the station from the Toolik support offices located on the UAF campus, as well as periodically in residence at Toolik Field Station. The position is a unique mix of fiscal duties and more hands on logistical and maintenance duties.

Custodian/Maintenance Service Worker Sitka
The University of Alaska Southeast, Sitka Campus, is accepting applications for an 11-month, full-time Custodian/Maintenance Service Worker (MSW2). Cleans and protects university facilities, grounds and surrounding areas by performing custodial maintenance duties including dusting, mopping, finishing and buffing floors, vacuuming and shampooing carpets, cleaning/sanitizing and restocking restrooms, grounds keeping and removing snow, ice and debris. Some responsibilities are required to be performed outside of normal business hours. This position is governed by a collective bargaining agreement between the University and Alaska Higher Education Crafts & Trades Employees Local 6070.
OIT Systems Engineering - Student Assistant Fairbanks
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) Service and Project Management Office is seeking student employees to work closely with its Systems Engineering (SE) team. Student employees fully integrate with the team and work on the same production systems that staff support, so the ideal candidate is a UAF student that is professional, adaptable, productive, technically competent, eager to learn, and wanting to acquire relevant work experience along with their degree. Demonstrable programming experience is required. SE’s projects change from sprint to sprint to satisfy the university’s changing needs and employees’ duties change accordingly. You could write a script to process web sites one week, deploy virtualized desktops or servers the next, then write code for a custom application the week after that. UAA - Temporary Professional Anchorage
ICHS is performing an evaluation of the Alaska Department of Corrections Extended-Release Naltrexone Approach (ADNA). The evaluation will follow participants for one year after their first injection to evaluate the program’s effectiveness at preventing relapse and recidivism. We are looking to recruit a dedicated individual with an interest in gaining experience conducting health research on topics related to opioid abuse and the criminal justice system. In this role, you will assist with data collection by conducting interviews with participants alongside ICHS staff and the Principal Investigator. The position requires an ability to communicate clearly and concisely; follow IRB and data collection protocols, and a willingness to interact with incarcerated individuals with a history of substance abuse. Strong interpersonal skills, organizational abilities, and attention to detail are required.
