Student Life & Leadership is currently recruiting for Student Building Managers to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Student Union. Student Building Managers are responsible for working together and leading a team of students who provide front-line customer service and event management in the Student Union. Student Union Barista
Student Life & Leadership is currently recruiting for baristas to serve up cups of joe in the only student-run coffee shop on campus - the Union Station Coffee Shop, located in the Student Union! Not only do baristas offer high-quality coffee products and customer service to students, staff, faculty, and the general public, they learn valuable skills and gain hands-on experience while working on campus. Baristas serve as members of the Student Union student team, and will be cross-trained on Information Desk duties in order that they can fill in shifts as needed. Prior work experience as a barista, in customer service, and in sales and cash handling is preferred but not required of candidates for this position. This student staff position is 10-15 hours/week and starts at $9.84/hour. Preference will be given to students with flexible hours and availability to meet scheduling needs: Monday - Friday, 7am - 8pm. This position is open until filled.

CAS Research - 2018-2019 Student Assistant A-B-C Pool
The College of Arts and Sciences is seeking applicants for its student employee pool to work with CAS faculty researchers. Successful applicants' duties may include the following: field and/or laboratory and/or other assistance with research projects. Assignments may require short turn-around time between issuance and completion of tasks with general or minimal supervision. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends. Must be completely dependable and be able to work independently after training. For some positions, the successful candidate must have some knowledge of laboratory procedures. Successful applicants will work on an as needed basis during the academic year and/or summer for a faculty member or faculty members with active research projects.
Required experience varies:
Student Assistant A: Ability to work under direct supervision. Duties generally are routine in nature and decision-making is limited; must be able to make routine decisions about assigned work in absence of immediate supervision. May require some previous training, experience and/or knowledge.
Student Assistant B: Ability to work under general or intermittent supervision. Duties are varied and require some independent judgment. Some college level or comparable experience may be necessary.
Student Assistant C: Ability to work under general direction. Duties require considerable knowledge and skills such as computer, research, or translation skills. Ability to exercise independent judgment and decision-making. Ability to assist faculty member with research, writing or assisting in writing technical reports; assisting in complex technical aspects of research projects.
ALL LEVELS require attention to detail and timeliness in completion of assigned tasks. Requires effective and timely communication skills.
