Nanook Recreation's Patty Ice team is currently hiring Learn to Skate coaches at Patty Ice Arena. Do you love to skate? Come join us as we pass the joy of skating onto others! Hours are flexible.
Duties include: Registering students, handing out skates. Development of skating class curriculum. On and off ice instruction of students. Communicating with parents and students concerning skating progress. Testing of students.
Starting wage is $13.50 per hour.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability to pass a skating test (skating forward, backwards, and crossovers). Work with children, as young as four, up to adults. Follow instruction from head coaches. Work evenings and weekends. Good communications skills. Pass a back ground check.
Applicant must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
