The Student Activities Board (SAB) will be hiring one student to act as an assistant for the Board. Do you want to work in a fun, positive, and collaborative environment? Do you want to help put on concerts, dances, and other epic activities for your fellow students, while learning the ins and outs of event management? Do you want to work with entertainers and musicians from around the country? Then the Student Activity Board is the place for you! The successful applicant will support the Board with a focus on recruitment and retention needs for Student Activity Board members.
100% The Recruitment & Retention Specialist will assist in marketing the Board, making meaningful connections with members, planning and implementing membership appreciation activities, tracking member volunteer points and managing the incentive program. Help plan, implement, evaluate, and report on student-driven, campus-wide events. Student Employment Requirements
Must be a UAS student enrolled in a minimum of six credit hours, or the intent to enroll in six credit hours during the upcoming Fall 2019 semester.
Must have a 2.0 cumulative GPA, unless a first time freshmen.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong attention to detail and written/verbal professional communication skills.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to complete tasks thoroughly and responsibly.
Ability to work with a team to co-plan events and work toward group consensus.
Ability to interact positively with students, university personnel, audience members, and performers/speakers.
Applicants must have strong organizational, prioritization and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to successfully time manage and juggle multiple tasks and responsibilities with your academic and personal life.
The Recruitment & Retention Specialist must be able to: effectively use word of mouth advertising and relationship building to increase Board membership and be effective in keeping members engaged in Board activities and events. This is a part-time, Student Assistant B position, $9.89/Hourly dependent on experience.
