5 Document/record time spent with students. Completing survey regarding identifying and addressing problems with students understanding of course material. Essential
95 Assist students in Mathematics courses to successfully complete courses by providing tutoring support. Hold regularly scheduled tutoring sessions or open tutoring sessions during pre-established hours.
Schedule tutoring sessions before exams. Conduct individual and group tutoring. Increase student proficiency in mathematics courses.
Identify students individual needs to promote academic success. Remind students of tutoring sessions, identify, contact and establish plan of action for struggling or failing students.
Excellent communication and people skills. Excellent math skills up to Calculus 1 (F251)
Ability to maintain confidentiality. Essential
Student C - Mathematics Tutor position open for the BLaST and Rural Student Services Department.
BLaST and RSS programs are looking for a part time math tutor to assist students in obtaining academic excellence. Flexible schedules are needed. Math education level with experience ranging from Prealgebra (DEVM 054) to Calculus 1 (F251).
