The Institute of Arctic Biology is seeking Kitchen Assistant (Bull Cook) for the 2019 Summer Field Season at the Toolik Field Station, a remote field camp located at 284.5 Dalton Highway, Alaska. This is a seasonal position that works a rotating schedule. This position will assist the Lead Cook in the preparation of food services for 10-150 person facility.
PLEASE NOTE: THIS A POOL POSITION SUCCESSFUL ACCEPTANCE INTO THE POOL DOES NOT GUARANTEE A JOB OFFER NOR DOES IT GUARANTEE ANY REVIEW OF APPLICANT MATERIALS. This is a seasonal position that works a rotating schedule with intermittent time off not in camp.
Airfare to/from Fairbanks is usually provided from most major US airports.
Transportation to and from camp is provided.
Room and Board provided while in camp.
This position will assist the Lead Cook in the preparation of food services for 10-150 person facility.
Primary daily duties include restocking self-service areas, food storage areas, dish washing, unloading food shipments, organizing and cleaning/sanitizing food service preparation/service areas and equipment. Assist cooks with salad bar and food preparation. Additional duties include fueling and driving station vehicles, burning trash; assisting with on-site set-up and post seasonal close down of station.
