The UAA Testing Center is seeking a dynamic student to work part-time and assist with receptionist and proctor support duties in this professional office setting. As student receptionist/proctor, you will serve as first point of contact for the Testing Center to check in test takers.
Knowledge of basic computer software to include Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Excellent attention to detail. Willingness to learn and ability to quickly apply new knowledge.
Ability to communicate and enforce testing center rules, and regulations. Ability to walk around for long periods of time. Ability to operate a variety of standard office machines. Ability to work well as a member of a team and also to work independently on tasks as assigned. Ability to work in a professional environment. Document (Word, Excel) preparation and email composition with proof-reading skills necessary
1 year of customer service experience
1 year of basic computer skills Knowledge of Microsoft applications Ability to do repetitive tasks such as check in test takers and walk around the testing rooms. Must be reliable and work as part of a team Possess problem solving skills and engage in analytical thinking in stressful situations
Typical Education or Training:
Currently registered in UAA classes with 6 credits or more and a GPA of 2.0 or better
$10.50 per hour
