The Center for Human Development (CHD) at the University of Alaska Anchorage in the College of Health is recruiting a Training and Development Support Coordinator.

25 Coordinate and co-facilitate assigned Project ECHO clinic teams and participants including communication, scheduling, promoting, and training hub team members. Assist in the development of didactic topics and clinical case presentations. Assemble and disseminate written clinical recommendations. 40 Conduct program needs analysis. Develop course/curriculum content and training materials on CHD and university utilized platforms. Consult with CHD staff to conceptualize, design and conduct education and training courses and education course materials for distance delivery. Collect and prepare course materials to enhance existing education courses for distance delivery. Provide training and technical assistance to participants of CHD trainings and ECHO clinics. Provide guidance, training, monitor, and technical assistance to program faculty and staff to ensure compliance for course and program accessibility. Evaluate the effectiveness of the training and change/alter for future sessions. Position Summary: This position will assist CHD faculty and staff to design and develop digital outreach and education materials and tools using Universal Design principles; revise and/or enhance existing distance education courses and course materials; and integrate technology into traditional teaching practices. This position will coordinate and support assigned Project ECHO clinics (tele-health clinics) and is responsible for delivery of support and data management of assigned ECHO clinics, managing on-site technology equipment and documentation/data gathering and facilitating ECHO clinic communication. Project ECHO is a virtual guided practice model designed to increase workforce capacity to provide best-practice services and care in communities.
This position will work under the supervision of the Faculty, Staff and Student Technology Coordinator.
Excellent communication skills with a broad array of individuals including faculty, staff, community agency partners, individuals with developmental and other disabilities, and family members of individuals with disabilities.
Advanced computer and technology management skills, demonstrated skill using Microsoft office suite, Adobe Acrobat, learning and content management systems, including creation of accessible materials and tools.
Advanced knowledge and skills in universal design and teaching concepts.
Knowledge and experience in distance delivered training.
Planning and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of evidence-based practices in adult learning.
Skills in data management and report writing.
Knowledge of records management and HIPAA.
Ability to organize and prioritize fluctuating workloads and project demands.
Experience leading staff in training methods.
Knowledge and latitude in determining appropriate training methods for target audiences.
Ability to oversee or coordinate short-term contracted individuals on projects.
Experience with Zoom, Moodle, and Blackboard.
Experience with Microsoft Suite Projects, Adobe Suite products, and similar software applications.
Required Experience: Bachelor's degree and two years advanced professional experience in the field of training development or instructional design, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Education/Training: Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Training and Development, Business Technology/Management, Human Resources, or related field OR an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Expected to complete ECHO intensive training and seek other certification or advanced training on platforms that position will be working with. ECHO certification is desired.
