Part time Administrative Lead for Alaska Tech Learners at Prince William Sound College in Valdez, Alaska.


10Travel Coordination: Coordinate travel and accommodation arrangements for department staff as necessary. Prepare and submit travel claims, expense reports, and reimbursement requestsEssential
15Personnel Support: Provide logistical support and coordination for search committees or recruitment processes. Process paperwork for personnel actions including new hire documentationEssential
30Office Support: Order supplies and equipment. Coordinate the use of facilities, services, and equipment. Proofread typed materials for grammatical and typographical errors (e.g., correspondence, reports). Prepare brochures, newsletters, flyers, event schedules, marketing materials, and/or news releases for dissemination to internal/external audiences. Assist in preparing budgets, proposals, status reports, and financial statements. Prepare purchase requisitions and maintain soft ledgers.Essential
45Academic Program Support: Assist students with academic program questions. Respond to complaints and routine requests for information. Assist faculty with course support. Collect and record student grades. Perform recruitment and outreach activities. Coordinate activities with internal and external customers. Compile information for routine reports, directories, course support; prepare and submit narrative and statistical reports as requested by program manager. Verify and review materials for completeness and conformance with established regulations and procedures. Prepare and distribute surveys.Essential


Broad knowledge of academic programs and student services. Working knowledge of human resources policies & procedures. Ability to set up and track ledgers for budgeting.

Ability to work well with students, the public, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to coordinate projects and events. Excellent written and oral communication skills especially from a distance. Ability to write detailed reports and maintain organized records.

Skill with computer in programs such as word processing, spreadsheets, and database. Skill with graphic design is preferred.

Required Experience:

Substantial experience in a professional office environment. Experience with Higher Education academic programs strongly preferred.

Typical Education or Training:

Must be a high school graduate or have equivalent training/experience. Bachelors degree is preferred.
