The office of the Associated Students of the University of Alaska Fairbanks (ASUAF) Student Government is located in the UAF Wood Center. All students enrolled in 3 or more credits on the Fairbanks main campus are ASUAF members.

ASUAF runs service departments and programs dedicated to the interests and welfare of UAF students, representing UAF students to the university administration, the board of regents and the Alaska Legislature.


There is ONE positions available for the 2018-2019 academic year: the Public Relations Director. This position is a highly independent peer position and part of the student body president's cabinet. Work schedules are flexible and arranged according to class schedule and by approval of the ASUAF President. The director does not work over the summer; employment for position begins after August 19th, 2018. 




This is a creative position, ideal for design and/or marketing students as well as individuals with an attention to detail and the ability to organize information in an attractive way. This position is required to give reports to the Senate a minimum of every three weeks.


Both positions are required to attend ASUAF Senate meetings (currently on Sunday afternoons during the academic year) and report project updates and hours worked. If you are interested in either of these positions, please apply to this posting.

Applicant must be enrolled as a UAF student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
