Campus Recreation is looking for self-motivated team players that enjoy spending time in a healthy environment and could envision themselves working to make improvements in the services that campus recreation provides.
10 Assist with academic class and activity set-up when needed. Assist with event set-up, ticket sales and event take down when needed. Attend appropriate staff workshops and meetings. 20 Use the cash register when selling concessions, memberships and other equipment. Assist with reconciliation and create deposit report. Essential
30 Roam facility areas for safe use of equipment and safety of participants. Maintain and inventory equipment on a scheduled basis. Perform regular inspection and light cleaning of REC Center exercise equipment. Essential
35 Oversee the safe usage of the Student Recreation Center.
Monitor entry and exit of users of the Recreation Center Facility. Rent equipment from the Outdoor Recreation Center and monitor access to the climbing gym. Essential
5 Help with the Campus Life Events through the academic year to include Campus Kick Off, Thanksgiving, Winterfest, and Spring Carnival. Essential
Campus Recreation Assistant is responsible for monitoring facility access and ensuring the safe usage of the REC Center. This is a mid-level entry position that includes cash handling. Knowledge of customer service, recreation, and wellness. Responsible for renting REC Center outdoor equipment, monitoring the entrance and exit, checking in guests and members, and maintaining a clean, friendly environment. Other responsibilities may include cardio/weight room inspection and cleaning, event set-up, and display creation. We are looking for self-motivated team players that enjoy spending time at the REC Center and taking advantage of its diverse facility offerings.
Applicants should be familiar with the
services campus recreation provides. Staff will assist with the opening and closing of the REC Center, with shift hours that can vary from 6:15am to 10pm during the academic year with reduced hours during summer of 10am to 8pm, Monday-Sunday.
