The Ketchikan Campus of the University of Alaska Southeast seeks a full-time term Assistant Professor of Writing and Communication. This is a nine-month term funded non-tenure track position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. This position requires the successful candidate to work on the Ketchikan campus.
100 The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching approximately 12 hours per semester of undergraduate courses in a manner consistent with the specific course content description.
Faculty is expected to hold office hours appropriate for the course(s) being taught, and advise undergraduate students.

The Ketchikan Campus of the University of Alaska Southeast seeks a full-time term Assistant Professor of Writing and Communication. This is a nine-month term funded non-tenure track position covered by a collective bargaining agreement. This position requires the successful candidate to work on the Ketchikan campus. Responsibilities will include teaching a variety of online and on-campus undergraduate courses to students with diverse majors as well as university service. Courses to be taught in the field of composition may include academic, business, & technical writing, while in the field of communication the teaching expectations may include contexts as varied as team building, interpersonal, and intercultural. The successful candidate will have a master’s degree or higher in a relevant field and should have both distance-delivered and classroom-delivered teaching experience. Experience working with developmental students is desired. The successful candidate will join a small and supportive group of faculty committed to staying on the cutting edge of educational technology. The candidate should be an energetic individual ready to support the writing course sequence and assist in developing the Ketchikan communications program through collaborative work with faculty on our campus and in Juneau.
