This position is UAF Extension's pool for adjunct instructors. The duration of employment is dependent on the duration of the project(s).
These positions will be to teach various courses within the School of Natural Resources & Agricultural Sciences, to include courses in Forestry, Natural Resources Management and Geography.
100 Design curriculum and tests as needed for non-credit offerings. Instruct students on area of expertise. The incumbent will be responsible for meeting the requirements delegated by the project to which they are hired. UAF's Cooperative Extension is looking for adjunct faculty for non-credit program needs within our Professional & Workforce Development Program. Among other things, these part-time adjuncts may teach, develop courses and curriculum and coordinate programs. Assignments can be at various locations (including online) and can meet during the daytime, evenings, and/or weekends. Flexible schedules are required. The length of these non-credit positions may vary.
Training and professional development are an important part of keeping professional skills current and Alaska’s businesses competitive. The Professional and Workforce Development program is a new program within the UAF Cooperative Extension Service. As the outreach arm of the university, Cooperative Extension is uniquely positioned to bring training and professional development to Alaskans across the entire state. We utilize the resources of the University of Alaska and a network of consultants to deliver non-credit courses that are relevant and effective.
