The IS Ops Technician level 3 provides the project management and in-house support for the Learning Management System (LMS) and other technical skills needed to maintain the AKTC's workforce training mission.
10 As a member of the technology team, provide back-up support for LMS users and training coordinators by email and phone, Zoom meeting scheduling, and Constant Contact email advertising. Ability to troubleshoot customer technical challenges. Essential
10 Primary support for the Moodle content delivery system including setting up classes, uploading class resources, linking with the LMS, creating post-pre evaluations, monitoring and supporting enrollments. Essential
20 In-house support of AKTC/AHEC Learning Management System (LMS) providing 2nd level technical support for issues including testing, suggesting possible solutions, passing issues on to the developer, maintaining a log of in-progress tasks and tracking progress on solutions. 20 Maintain a calendar of required reports for AKTC/AHEC projects. Advanced knowledge of communication systems,diagnostic techniques, practice and procedures for a wide range of computer systems, platforms, applications, data communications, service tracking and other applications used in help desk services. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to train and support staff to identify and resolve or refer operational problems in data processing, computer operations systems and related technology. Demonstrated problem solving skills in areas of data processing functions and computer operations. Ability to maintain security integrity. Ability to maintain hardware and software. Ability to monitor, test and analyze computer operation functions. Ability to maintain accuracy of database informants and reports. Ability to stage productions runs and maintains production/project schedules.
• Required: Mid-level Microsoft SQL server experience including executing queries for searching, updating records, and pulling reports.
• Required: Project management skills, including specifying project needs, tracking progress, and ongoing communication.
• Preferred: Experience with learning management, content delivery systems, and online delivery systems (such as Moodle or Blackboard).
• Preferred: Proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator CS6 or newer.
• Preferred: Ability to manage and update existing websites.
• Preferred: Strong, responsive communication skills (written and verbal).
• Preferred: Experience providing support for people of varying levels of abilities and experience.
Typical Education or Training:
Associates degree in a relevant field (i.e. information technology or other related field) and 3 years experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Salary: $23.60/hour (full-time, non-exempt)
