Position Summary:

The Wood Center is a fun place to work while taking classes, it's the middle of campus and most events happen there. Working as a pinchaser, you will get to meet a lot of people, and you will have fun doing it!

Duties:

Under the direct supervision of the Operations Director, is responsible for providing bowling related services in the bowling alley at Wood Center. Services provided include problem solving with regards to jams and stops; clearing pin setting machines; cleaning and oiling the lanes using a lane conditioner machine; cleaning all pins, bowling balls and shoes, inventory of pins, balls, shoes, and cleaning and maintenance supplies; assist with the organizing and setting up of special events in the bowling alley, i.e. birthday parties, etc. record keeping with regards to equipment problems; assisting the mechanic in maintenance and repair of alley equipment. Employee will be working with mechanical and electrical equipment with many moving parts.  

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

One (1) year, or equivalent, satisfactory work experience working with the public.

Must be able to handle heavy lifting up to 50 pounds.

Must be able to work amongst machinery with many moving parts.

Good problem solving skills.

Ability to follow directions.

Ability to make decisions with good judgment.

Must be organized.

Must be able to work with others.

Must be able to assist the contract mechanic with repairs and installation of parts.

Must have basic mechanical skills, repair techniques and customer service.

Ability to Work with limited supervision. 

 

Required Experience:

One (1) year satisfactory work experience working in a bowling alley, or similar environment

Typical Education or Training: 

One (1) year, or equivalent, satisfactory work experience working with the public.

This is a Student C; minimum starting pay $10.50.
