The University of Alaska Fairbanks, Community and Technical College is looking for student assistants to provide faculty and staff with general support for our programs. Student must be enrolled in 6 or more credits with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.
Student assistants are selected on a semester-by-semester contract basis. Successful acceptance into this pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract. TYPICAL DUTIES: Provide assistance to UAF Community & Technical College department and program faculty and coordinators. Specific duties vary depending on the program or unit assigned.
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required for this position: knowledge of office practices and procedures, proficient use of computers (including word processing), and good organizational skills. Ability to work with faculty, staff, student, and visitors to UAF Community and Technical College locations effectively and in a professional manner. Ability to work independently when required.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
