Assists Computer and Networking Technology faculty in preparation and maintenance of class/lab rooms in order to deliver Computer and Networking Technology courses. Should be able to work afternoon and evenings.
Knowledge and skills needed: Completion of the first full year of the Computer and Networking Technology program or equivalent. Ability to lift and move computing and networking equipment (monitors, computers, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation. Ability to pick up new tasks quickly.
Job duties: Assisting CNT faculty in preparation and maintenance of class/lab rooms. Configuration of equipment in class/lab rooms to support lab exercises. Installing and configuring software applications. Installing hardware. Assisting students with computer and school network-related questions. Ability to work afternoon and evenings. Troubleshooting software/hardware problems in CNT class/lab. Responding to emergency classroom calls. Desktop computer configuration, installation, and/or equipment repair. Other duties as assigned.
