The Department of Recreation, Adventure, and Wellness is currently hiring Learn to Skate coaches at Patty Ice Arena. Do you love to skate? Come join us as we pass the joy of skating onto others! Hours are flexible!
Duties include: Registering students, handing out skates. Development of skating class curriculum. On and off ice instruction of students. Communicating with parents and students concerning skating progress. Testing of students.
Minimum qualifications: Ability to pass a skating test (skating forward, backwards, and crossovers). Work with children as young as four, up to adults. Follow instruction from head coaches. Work evenings and weekends. Good communications skills. Pass a back ground check.
Starting wage is $13.50 per hour.
The successful applicant may be required to complete a background check. Any offer of employment is contingent on the background check.
