The Dept of Recreation, Adventure and Wellness is looking for lifeguards for Patty Pool. Flexible shifts available.
Lifeguards will be working in the Patty Center Pool, during condition swims, recreational swims, high school practices, master's practices, and private rentals. Lifeguards may work up to 20 hours a week. Typical duties include: Monitor and enforce proper safety rules and activities in swimming area; perform lifesaving and first aid procedures as appropriate for the situation; provide routine clean-up, sanitizing and general maintenance in pool and locker room areas; perform chlorine and PH water testing; and complete daily attendance and revenue reports as instructed.
Lifeguards are expected to have life saving and CPR Certifications. All qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate all lifesaving and first aid skills required by the position.Ability to deal with the public in a pleasant, tactful and courteous manner.
Strong project management experience and coordination.
Required: American Red Cross Lifeguard Training Certification and CPR/AED for Lifeguards Certification. Willing to train applicants pending lifeguard certification class availability. Preferred: Water Safety Instructor or equivalent lifeguard experience.
Starting wage is $13.50 per hour.
