This is a pooled clerical position and at various time of the year, the campus hires temporary staff to assist in the library or as instructional support as needed.
Provide customer friendly evening front desk support to assist the public and students. Assist with test proctoring, building security, classroom set-up and organization. Monitor evening classes and equipment. Type, photocopy, fax and perform other office duties upon request. Duties include the monitoring of (occasional) Saturday (approx. 6 hours) of Praxis testing. Work one or more week nights a week. 4:30 - 10PM.
Positions perform library support activities:
Technical Support - assisting patrons to connect to the internet, print, navigate online library resources, and other intermediate technical support.
Enforcement of Library Policies - particularly regarding computer use, closing time, and general behavior.
Organization Activities - shelving returned library materials, shelf reading, and tidying and sanitizing computer stations. Customer Service - assisting patrons to find library materials and resources Special Projects - this generally involves moving books, boxes of books, and library furniture.
