Position Summary: The Copper Basin Extension Center coordinator provides administrative leadership for the Copper Basin Extension Center of Prince William Sound College. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Academic Affairs, and collaborating with Student and Academic Affairs staff, the Copper Basin Extension Center Director:

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Ability to build a successful partnerships with schools and community organizations.
Verbal and written communication skills
Budget management
Ability to motivate and supervise staff
Knowledge of, and the ability to interpret and apply rules, regulations, processes, policies, and procedures related to higher education.
Ability to work with Diverse Populations.
Ability to organize events.
Ability to set up new Programs.
Negotiation/Sales Skills.
Ability to work in a dual enrollment setting

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years progressively responsible relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Master degree preferred.

This position is a 30 hour per week and works 43 weeks out of the year.

30Builds relationships with partners in the Copper Basin service area by: • seeking out mutually beneficial projects and entrepreneurial opportunities; • identifying workforce and training needs; • developing continuing education, professional and personal enrichment projects, courses, and events; • aligning program resources and activities with the College mission and strategic goals; and • establishing priorities, timelines and making recommendations to PWSC leadership.Essential
40Develops and implements a concurrent and dual credit schedule of courses in collaboration with the Copper River School District;Essential
