Position Summary: The Office of University Advancement is looking for a professional writer to highlight UAA's #amazingstories in internal and external publications.
UAA's Office of University Advancement is seeking a professional writer to identify, develop and draft stories in support of UAA's mission. In addition to writing feature pieces to appear in both print and digital communications, the general topics writer will produce fact sheets, newsletters, letters, presentations, HTML email content, faculty/staff/student/alumni profiles and other written materials as assigned.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Must be a skilled interviewer and editor, be able to handle multiple projects at the same time and be able to meet strict deadlines. Must have keen attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to organize and plan projects. Knowledge of AP style.
Required Experience: Minimum of three to five years professional writing experience.
Education and/or Training: A successful candidate for this position should have a bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, English, professional or technical writing, or related field.
Minimum Beginning Hourly Salary: $23.60
