Position Summary: The Department of Residence Life is seeking highly motivated individuals to work on a student paint crew working on interior painting of Residence Life facilities for the summer. Successful applicants will be provided training in the use and application of paint to include a two day formal training administered by professional training certification. Attendees will be provided a certification card for hazardous paint handling. Students accepted to this position will also be eligible for summer room scholarship to housing. Application review dates begin April 17th.
PAINT CREW: Our student painters work throughout the summer painting the interiors of our facilities, including residence hall rooms, hallways, lounges, apartments and common areas. Student painters attend a state hazardous material handling training course designed for painters, valid for two years, and paid for by Residence Life.
As an employee of Residence Life, you will be expected to adhere to the highest standards of ethical and moral behavior with a positive demeanor that works well with teams. Ability to operate miscellaneous power tools and equipment.
- To be arranged by Residence Life Facility Services, 20 hours during the academic year, 40 hours during the summer. - Applicants must be available for individualized and group training and assigned shift times May 15-August 2017. - Applicants must be available to work entire shifts for entire job duration. If retained for summer full time employment, room scholarship may be available. The successful applicant is required to complete a background check. Any offer of employment is contingent on the background check. At-Will:

administrators of the university are employed at-will.
