Position Summary:

This position will be face-to-face or online instruction of courses in support of programs at one or more of the Soldotna, Seward, or Anchorage Extension Site (AES) locations representing Kenai Peninsula College. The KPC system, University of Alaska Anchorage, has locations throughout the peninsula and in Anchorage. KPC is comprised of: Kenai River Campus in Soldotna, Kachemak Bay Campus in Homer, Resurrection Bay Extension Site in Seward, and the Anchorage Extension Site (AES) at the University Center. 

Adjunct positions are on a semester-by-semester basis. Successful acceptance into the adjunct pool does not guarantee an offer of a contract.

Candidates will be evaluated on suitability of their academic preparation, past teaching experience, and potential for providing high quality instruction to undergraduate students; expertise and experience relevant to the effective teaching of the subject. 

Education: For academic areas, such as the arts, sciences, humanities and social sciences, adjunct instructors should have a Master's degree in the discipline or related subject area. 

Career/technical education adjunct instructors must have a Bachelor's degree or extensive expertise in the subject area.

Successful applicants must provide official transcripts documenting academic credentials required for the position as a condition of employment. Qualifying earned degrees must be conferred either by institutions of higher education which are accredited by one of the six US regional accrediting associations or by an equivalent international institution of higher education as determined by UAA based on a review by a foreign educational credential evaluation service and recognized by UAA.
