The Student Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for leading the sustainability efforts by educating and empowering students and the campus community.

20 Develop and execute communication plans and public programming that promote the integration of sustainability efforts into campus culture. Create and present educational programs for residence life, new student orientation, and other events. Methods include classroom presentations, press releases, articles, highlights, information booths, and promoting sustainability using social media such as Facebook and Twitter. Essential

The Student Sustainability Coordinator is responsible for providing continuity and progress in the campus community where a large portion of the population (students) turns over at a high rate. In addition to working with the students at UAF this position is also responsible for working with the broader campus community (faculty, staff and departments) to promote sustainability. The Student Sustainability Coordinator will have a close working relationship with the student-led Review of Infrastructure, Sustainability and Energy (RISE) board. Limited supervision and guidance is provided by the Sustainability Office Manager; however, this position is expected to operate independently in the performance of a wide range of duties. This position pays $13 per hour and works 20 hours per week during the academic year.
