This is a Student Assistant B, Step 2, $9.75/hr Labor Pool at KPC.
Duties/Responsibilities: Responsible for record keeping of the Student Association account; Makes recommendations to the Executive Board on financial policies and procedures; Presents financial reports to the Association; provides support to the Service Committee; prepares the annual budget with the Executive Board members for approval. Duties: Setup and maintain record keeping of Association accounts in a timely manner. Become knowledgeable of College policies and procedures regarding finances and purchasing and share this information with members as appropriate. Review, modify and/or comment for revision and other fiscal matters regarding Association policies on budgeting and purchasing. Exercise primary authorization of Association expenditures after budget approval. Attend Executive Board and General Membership meetings and present reports. Assists supervisor in preparing annual budget for Executive Board approval. Works closely with KBC Administrative Service staff to assure proper procedures are followed for purchasing and payment. Provide direct support to the service committee. Qualifications: Willingness to meet jobs time requirements. Maintain enrollment of a minimum of 6 credit hours at UA with a minimum of 3 of those credit hours at KBC-KPC. Interest in supporting the Association's goals. Willingness to participate in leadership development activities.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Good organizational and communication skills.
NOTICE: Students must maintain enrollment and regular attendance for a minimum of at least 6 undergraduate credit hours or 6 graduate credit hours to be exempt from FICA (Social Security and Medicare) tax. A credit hour load below the minimum required for full-time student status will require
the withholding of FICA tax (non-resident aliens on an appropriate visa who meet student employment criteria will continue to be exempt from FICA regardless of credit hour load). While in a student position, a student cannot hold any other type of simultaneous employment with the university.
