Position Summary:

The KOC Learning Center Tutor will tutor students in Writing, Math, Health Science, Science and/or other subjects. Perform office support tasks.

30Participate in orientation, education workshops, and meetings. Participate in the promotion of The Learning Center across campus, and the development and presentation of workshops to students, community members, instructors, and/or staff. Acceptance into the hiring pool does not constitute an offer of a contract, nor does having worked one semester guarantee that a position will be available the following semester; hiring decisions are made on a semester-by-semester basis, according to the needs of The Learning Center.

Demonstrated proficiency in subject area(s). Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Experience working with diverse groups. Knowledge of professional level office methods and practices. Organization principles. Basic knowledge of computer operations and software applications. Problem solving/decision making skills. Knowledge, skills, and/or ability to learn to effectively complete all required position duties, including attending required tutor education workshops and meetings.

Bachelor Degree in relevant field or equivalent technical experience is required.
