The University of Alaska Southeast (UAS) Student Housing and Residence Life department is seeking a Coordinator for Residence Life and First Year Experience to oversee residential affairs, provide key administrative support, develop community through programmatic events, and supervise student paraprofessional staff; primarily in a first-year residence hall. This position will coordinate New Student Orientation and Welcome Weeks for the Auke Bay Campus in collaboration with an Orientation committee. Library Student Assistant Juneau
The front circulation desk at the Egan Library is responsible for the maintenance of the collection of library materials for student and public access, checking materials into and out of the library, and providing a welcoming first point of contact for general patron questions. Circulation student assistants perform a variety of tasks such as direct customer service, shelving, mail, assistance with events, and support duties for library projects and staff. Student assistants will be scheduled up to 40 hours per 2 wk. pay period during the academic year. The University of Alaska Southeast Fisheries Technology Program is accepting applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Fisheries Technology. We are looking for qualified applicants interested in joining an exciting and dynamic team striving to deliver applied fisheries education across Alaska and the Nation. As a member of our program, you will work closely with the Fisheries Technology program manager, UAS faculty and staff, State and Federal agency personnel, students and other fisheries related business owners, operators, and managers. Applicants with a strong career based background in fisheries management and/or marine science are encouraged to apply. Duties include teaching both fisheries management and marine science/biology courses. Additional experience in small vessel operations and SCUBA Diving is preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience and education. Successful candidate must relocate and reside in Sitka, Alaska. Position is open until filled; first review begins March 4, 2019.
