Parking Call Team Officer Anchorage
The Parking Call Team Member serves to provide professional and responsive assistance to the University Community. Through Calls for Service and Parking Enforcement the Call Team strives to deliver the highest degree of customer service possible. The purpose of the Call Team is to promote a safe campus, provide assistance to the University Community, and encourage compliance to parking regulations. This is accomplished through Calls for Service and enforcement of parking rules and regulations. The Call Team Officer (CTO) supports the parking program by providing assistance to the University community and enforcing parking regulations. Assistance is provided by performing jumpstarts, unlocks, walking safety escorts, and locates. CTOs are also expected to be visible to the community and must be able to provide accurate and helpful information to the University Community and provide assistance to others as needed. Enforcement of parking regulations is carried out by Call Team Officers as they patrol the University parking lots. They are to assist in maintaining a safe campus and should report any situations that create an unsafe environment. The Call Team will be called on to assist others within the University Community with many different duties as needed. Call Team Officers may also perform other duties as assigned.

Temporary Youth Peer Mentor w/Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program (ANSEP) at UAA Anchorage
The Alaska Native Science & Engineering Program at UAA is recruiting for Youth Peer Mentors for the Summer Bridge, Acceleration Academy, STEM Career Exploration, and Middle School Academy components. These components provide students with a living and learning environment that provides an academic college experience. The programs, services and activities we offer are designed to enhance students' educational experiences and provide the framework for active participation as a team member. Summer Bridge is aimed at recent high school graduates who will be attending the University of Alaska (UA) in the fall. During Summer Bridge students take college level math and science courses preparing them for University level math and science at UA, and also work a professional internship with one of ANSEP's partner organizations. Acceleration Academy is targeted at high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors. The Acceleration Academy provides an opportunity for students to accelerate their academic progress so they are more than ready for college. These students will live on campus for 5 weeks while enrolling in college level math, science or engineering courses. Acceleration Academy students will also engage in hands on science and engineering activities and projects. STEM Career Exploration is an opportunity specifically for past Middle School Academy participants. During the STEM sessions students will engage in hands-on STEM projects during a 5-day period. These students will live on campus for the duration of the STEM session. Middle School Academy recruits students who will be entering 6th, 7th or 8th grades in the fall after the academy. Middle School Academy is a two week, academic, residential academy that emphasizes increasing the students' mathematics and science skills while introducing them to college life and stimulating their interest in science and engineering as a potential career path.

Associate Professor of Social Work Anchorage
The School of Social Work has accredited BSW and MSW programs designed to prepare practitioners and leaders to serve Alaskans statewide. The generalist BSW degree is offered primarily via face-to-face classes on the Anchorage campus, while the advanced generalist MSW degree is offered exclusively via distance delivery. Faculty in the School of Social Work are engaged in a wide-array of teaching, research, and service activities that lend themselves to collaboration and engagement from new faculty, including interprofessional simulations, public dialogue and deliberation, service learning, and statewide child welfare and behavioral health initiatives. Qualifications: We seek a colleague who is interested in issues of behavioral health, behavioral health workforce development, community engaged practice incorporating diverse participatory research methods, and interorganizational collaboration. Additional expertise in family support and child welfare practice, and experience in arctic and the circumpolar region strengthen a candidate’s application. The position incumbent will teach a full load of three courses each semester, engage in relevant service, particularly in advancing behavioral health, and conduct research consistent with an established scholarly agenda. Community-engaged research is highly prized in this School and the position incumbent will work to advance community engagement through programs of service and research and instruction. The School seeks a colleague who wants to conduct and disseminate research that benefits Alaskans, Alaskan regions, and the circumpolar north. We are especially interested in someone who can develop a strong research program with responsiveness to community needs. An MSW from an accredited program, at least two years’ post-MSW practice experience, and a doctorate in Social Work or a related field are required. The successful applicant will have journeyman level skills in MIG, TIG, and oxy acetylene welding, be able to use a wide variety of fabrication shop tools, and work collaboratively with a diverse group of other technicians and student employees. He or she must be willing to work in all weather conditions, and should be able to use AutoCAD software to design metal structures such as awnings and handrails.
