Alcohol, Drug, and Wellness Educator Anchorage
The Alcohol, Drug, and Wellness Educator (ADWE) is a key member of the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) Dean of Students Office. This position is also a member of the Student Health & Counseling Center health promotion team which sponsors campaigns and events on health and wellness issues. The ADWE: 1) coordinate's UAA's substance abuse education efforts, 2) plans programs and events about alcohol, drugs, and wellness topics, 3) provides trainings and presentations on alcohol and other drugs, and 4) seeks partnerships or grants pertaining to substance abuse or wellness topics. The ADWE is a 40-hour per week, 10-month, term-funded position. The contract would be for 10 months of the fiscal year most likely running from mid-July through mid-May, depending on the needs of the Dean of Students Office.  A term position is funded year-to-year depending on funding availability each fiscal year.

An equivalent combination of education and experience in HVAC/R is acceptable. Work independently and interact with diverse groups of people. Lifting and Climbing as needed. Work outdoors in inclement weather; work in enclosed spaces, and on lifts. Occasional travel to UAF remote sites. Organization and record keeping. Computer literate, MS Office software and email. Must have and always maintain an Alaska driver’s license. Preferred experience familiarity with Siemens building automation systems and CMMS software.
